Roque Carbajo (contemporary)
Roque Carbajo is of Mexican origin and French by birth. His musical training began when he was 7
years old. His parents introduced and thaught him to the guitar threw the music of Mexico and the Latin America in general. His first compositions for guitar date back to 1970. Previously, he toured, playing
in Eastern European countries in company of his father, Doctor Roque Carbajo.
He settles in Paris and takes part in several recordings of records and carries out music tours in France
and Italy with South American music groups. In 1973, he arrives at Mexico and works as a guitarist
and an arranger for the author and composer Guadalupe Trigo. In 1979, he settles in Quebec, Canada
and takes part in several the recordings film scores. He also starts teaching the guitar, in particular at
the Preparatory school of Music of the University from Quebec in Montreal. Roque Carbajo continues to compose for the guitar. His work is published in Quebec and in France.
